P = Pharmacist  C = Customer

P: Good morning. May I help you?
C: Yes, I have a terrible headache.Do you have anything to help me?
P: Can you please describe the pain to me?
C: It is a pounding pain, and feels like it will split my head.
P: How long have you had the pain?
C: It started about 30 minutes ago.

P: Do you have these headaches often?  [this is to determine if it is possibly a migraine headache]
C: I don’t get headaches very often.
P: It sounds like it
is
probably a stress headache. Here, take this medicine. It’s an analgesic (pain reliever) called paracetamol. It should help relieve the pain within 30 minutes.
C: How often should I take this medication?

P: You should take one tablet every 4 hours as needed if the pain continues.
C: Would you explain the benefits of this medication?
P: Sure. This medication relieves a headache, and other pain associated with the common cold, arthritis, and muscular aches. Also, it can help to reduce fever.
P: The medication should take care of your headache, if not then you should go see a doctor for further evaluation. Also, if you have other symptoms such as blurred vision, dizziness, nausea, or vomiting, please visit a doctor for further advice.
P: Do you have any more questions?
C: No, thank you!
